Fight for a Better Future
Being your MP means being present – not just a name on a leaflet, but someone who shows up, listens, and gets things done. North East Derbyshire deserves better opportunities for our young people, reliable transport that connects our communities, and health services we can actually depend on. I’m fighting for more – more for us, more for our children, and more for the generations yet to come. That means representing everyone here. Every background, every community, every voice. I will always stand firm against those who peddle hate and division, extremism has no place in our communities, and I will never shy away from saying so. But fighting back means more than words. It means bringing people together, building something stronger, and refusing to let fear win.
I can’t do that alone. I need you.
If there’s something you’d like to raise, get in touch today.

Today marks the anniversary of the Equal Franchise Act, the Act that gave women equal voting rights to men.
There have been roughly 12,000-13,000 Members of Parliament since the 'Parliament of Great Britain' was established in 1707. I am fortunate enough to be the 673rd woman to ever serve as an MP, one of the greatest honours of my life. This clip shows my first ever speech in Parliament (known as a maiden speech).
This job has given me the privilege to meet so many strong, intelligent women not only in the chamber but in our local schools and communities- women who I am honoured to stand alongside and stand up for. ... See MoreSee Less

It was great to visit the wonderful Dronfield Gala this weekend!
Cllr David Cheetham and I visited lots of stalls highlighting local excellence from arts and crafts to local music and of course it wouldn’t be a gala without some raffle stalls.
It was also great to stop by and chat with the Help for Heroes and Air Cadets stalls to discuss the fantastic work they are doing.
Thank you to all those who worked so hard to put on such a wonderful community event. ... See MoreSee Less
